“Rising like a dusty mirage out of the Karoo heat, there’s a city that many call home.”
AfrikaBurn births a community of creative expressionists that meet once a year in the Tankwa Karoo to create a temporary city of art, theme camps, costume, music and performance that comes and goes.
This year the theme was “Ephemeropolis”, by definition, ephemerality (from Greek – ephemeros) is the concept of things being transitory, existing only briefly.
