What an absolute joy it was to photograph this magnificent gem. Blessed with stunning views and a very clever architect with a strong understanding of what the owners desired, this house against the mountain pretty much used 70% of it’s originally existing floorpan.
Arnold Meiring, the magician who transformed 43 Roodebloem Rd was also responsible for the wonderful renovation of this house.
My favourite thing about the design is the extensive use of local sugar gum (eucalyptus) which was used to create that warm natural wooden glow. The shutters, indoor and outdoor spaces, beautiful kitchen and comfortable living areas (not to mention the spectacular views) all add to the awesome feel of the home.
