Cape Town photographer Jan Verboom has nearly 20 years of experience on local and international assignments, with his two favourite subjects being cars and people.

His career in car photography dates back to the 90's when he was in-house photographer for advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town, which included working on the Volkswagen and Audi accounts. When it comes to people, he has captured the images of celebrities, politicians and many high-level corporate figures.

Jan's passion for lighting and his commitment to the highest standards of pre- and postproduction has resulted in numerous award-winning shots. His work has featured in magazines such as Luerzer's Archive and he has received Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions, as well as Loerie craft awards.

His approach is often minimalistic, with the aim of creating uncluttered images that Jan believes should speak to the audience.
